About TikTapy
TikTapy does one thing: you paste a TikTok link, and you get back a clean, watermark-free file — video or audio — in a few seconds. No account, no app to install, no daily limit.
Why it exists
Most TikTok downloader sites are built around ad revenue first and the actual download second — redirect pages, decoy buttons, prompts to install something unrelated. TikTapy is built the other way around: one input box, one real result, nothing else in the way.
How it works
When you paste a link, TikTapy reads the video's public information, strips the logo and username overlay TikTok adds on export, and hands back a direct file — at whatever resolution TikTok originally encoded it at, including HD where available. If you just want the sound, the same link gives you an MP3 option too.

TikTapy is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to TikTok or ByteDance. Trademarks referenced on this site belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe what TikTapy does.
What we don't do

- We don't re-encode or compress your file down from its original quality.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants to keep a copy of a public TikTok video without jumping through hoops to get it: someone archiving their own posts before they're deleted, a creator pulling a clip to repurpose (with credit) on another platform, or someone who just wants to save a clip to watch later without an internet connection. TikTapy isn't built for bulk scraping or automated harvesting — it's a one-link-at-a-time tool for everyday use.
The technology behind it
Under the hood, TikTapy talks to a processing backend that resolves the public page for a given TikTok link, extracts the direct media URL TikTok itself serves to viewers, and streams that file back to your browser after removing the watermark overlay. Nothing is transcoded down to a lower bitrate along the way — the video and audio streams you receive are the same ones TikTok originally published.
Feedback shapes the roadmap
